Tengku Djan – Prince of Drift as well as automotive lifestyle brand MCCLUBZ to announce the brand-new action motorsports series X Street Mania Tour that will run in 2021.
This new series aims to bring the more extreme side of motorsports to the crowds and fans, with events set to tour around the country. The feature events will be both SuperMoto races and Drifting, and the competitions will take place over a two-day weekend motorsports festival which will incorporate stunt shows, as well as a car club show and dress-up competition.
The drift component will be McClubz’s existing SPEED JUNKIES Drift Series and will feature an annual Championship targeted at Malaysia’s top drifters. Djan explained that the aims are to run a top-level drift competition to develop top-quality Malaysian drifters, with the aim to produce a quality Malaysian representative at the yearly FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup.
At the same time, MSF are announcing the new event series MSF SuperMoto which will run with X Street Mania Tour. MSF SuperMoto will feature 2 main categories: ‘SuperMoto’ is for bikes up to 450cc and will be divided into 3 sub-categories based on rider’s experience level, and the ‘HyperMoto’ category is for SuperMoto bikes larger than 450cc with 2 sub-categories based on single or twin-cyl engines. MSF SuperMoto aims to bring up SuperMoto racing by increasing its exposure and races throughout Malaysia, with the hope that it will create a pool of competitive riders from Malaysia that can then race up to regional level.
