Round 1 Sets the Pace for the 2026 MSF Superbikes Championship

The MSF Superbikes Championship 2026 officially got underway with an action-packed opening round at the Sepang International Circuit on 17 May, setting the tone for another exciting season of close competition across every class. From seasoned championship contenders to rising newcomers, riders battled intensely for valuable championship points in the opening round.
In the premier categories, Osama Mareai claimed the early championship lead in All Stars, while Goh Jia Hao heads the GP Master standings. Sankaran Shamugam emerged on top in GP Pro, with Mohd Faeeiz Rosman leading GP Xafter a strong performance. The next generation of talent also impressed, with Marcus Lee taking the opening advantage in Super Rookie, while Bogers Danial secured the lead in Super Sports.
The MotoMSF American V-Twin Championship also delivered exciting racing, with Muhamat Hairy Muhamat Omarleading the Hooligan Cup, Mohamad Alsyakirin Ahmad Sabri topping the Open Class Bagger, Mohamad Izzat Jamaludin leading Pro Street, and Muhammad Naqid Mustafa taking the early lead in Revolution X.
With the opening round complete, the championship battle is now firmly underway. Riders and teams will now turn their focus to Round 2, which will take place on 5 July 2026, where the fight for valuable championship points continues as the 2026 season gathers momentum.
