Malaysian Supermoto Championship Points Standing after Round 2

All Stars Pro Point Standing (Round 2)

The Malaysian Supermoto Championship Round 2 held at Unimap Circuit was filled with thrilling moments and intense competition. One of the standout highlights of the week was Ibrahim Norrodin (#66) breaking his brother’s track record and setting a new record of 48.091s during the Super Rocco Race.

Throughout the entire weekend, Ibrahim showcased his dominance, leading in most of the sessions. However, in Race 1, a mistake and subsequent crash cost him the victory, allowing Lewis Cornish to emerge as the winner. Undeterred, Ibrahim bounced back in Race 2, securing a well-deserved first-place finish.

In the Allstars Legend category, Eric Chia again demonstrated his exceptional form, maintaining a winning pace throughout the races. Despite a closely fought Race 1 against Chia Khoo Keat, with challenging track conditions after the heavy downpour, Eric Chia steadily finished all races in first place (P1).

Advanced Category, with the return of Mohd Emy Nordin, one of Azizul Khairi’s closest rivals in the past season, the competition intensified. Although the races witnessed some intense fights, Azizul Khairi continued to dominate by securing first-place finishes in all the races (P1), showcasing his remarkable skills and control.

Similar domination was seen in the AS25 Academy Racing Team, with Muhamat Hairy and Hervin, as they finished all races in first place (P1) in the Evo and Super Rookie categories respectively. Their consistent performance highlighted the strength and talent within the team.

Round 3 of the Malaysian Supermoto Championship will take place in Morac, Langkawi on 5th and 6th August, marking the first time the event will be held in this location. Racing enthusiasts can look forward to another thrilling weekend of Supermoto action in this picturesque setting.
