MSF Superbike Welcomes Desmo Cup

Desmo Owners Club Malaysia (DOCM) has just launched 2020 Racing Series here in Dash Box Hotel, Cyberjaya yesterday on 21st February 2020. Desmo Cup has been running for the past 2 years now with their latest season partnering up with Malaysia Speed Festival (MSF) with 4 rounds in total over the whole year. Desmo Cup race will be running at the same time as MSF Superbikes in Sepang International Circuit. The opening ceremony was greeted by CHHB Executive Director Matahari Lee which is also an avid motorcycle enthusiasts and also a ducati owner himself.

Round 1 date changed to 15th March 2020

There will be 3 categories for Desmo Cup and will be slightly different from the typical MSF Superbikes  whereby contenders are segregated based on time bracket. Desmo Cup will be segregated by models instead and the categories are the Superbike, Supersports, and the Super Naked. As the name suggests, you would probably be seeing Panigale V4, Panigale 899, Hypermotards, Multi Stradas and etc.

The home of Malaysian Motorsports is with people like you. Home is where the heart is and your (DOCM) heart is in racing – Adian Yein, Principle of MSF Series during a speech in Desmo Cup 2020 launch dinner.

As of the launch day for Desmo Cup Series in MSF, there are already 30 confirmed ducatisti that will be racing full season this year! DOCM is really intending on painting the whole grid red this time as this is the largest sum of participants so far in Desmo Cup. All of which would be battling out in a multitude of different race format such as the sprint, super sprint, enduro and a few more to be unveiled as time comes.
